Where Copilot stands today

Early Access

Copilot is rule-based: it routes your question to a matching intent and returns a templated answer built from your own records. There is no LLM in the pipeline. The orchestration, tool-routing, and safety layer described below is built and covered by an extensive automated test suite; broader question coverage and access are still rolling out in early access.

Four modules, one shared core

Each module is a thin configuration of the same Core - a shared Conversation Layer, Intent Router, and Safety Layer, not a fork per module.

Built safe by default

Rule-based routing with templated answers - there is no large language model anywhere in Copilot, and nothing is generated on the fly.
Every tool is read-only by default - no Copilot module can create, update, or delete a record.
Every turn is authenticated, role-checked, and audit-logged through the same infrastructure the rest of the API uses - no separate Copilot-specific auth path.
A three-gate safety design (input sanitization, output handling, tool-call permission checks) - no single check is treated as sufficient alone.
